In 2017 the Greek Genocide Resource Center co-sponsored a presentation titled Genocides Unrecognized which was organized by the Recollections of War (R.O.W) Initiative at Adelphi University in New York. Speakers at the event included Raphaela Stan and Julian McBride. The R.O.W Initiative is an anthropological field expedition that has a mission of establishing a philanthropic wing for the victims of human conflict. Their aim is to lead field teams around the globe to excavate the victims of war and identify the victims and their cause of death. More on the ROW Initiative. INTERNATIONAL DAY FOR THE COMMEMORATION OF THE VICTIMS OF GENOCIDE
On the 5th of December 2015, a public event to commemorate the first ever International Day of Commemoration of Dignity of the Victims of the Crime of Genocide and its Prevention was held in Darling Harbour, Sydney. Information from the Greek Genocide Resource Center website was on display along with a presentation by the Armenian Youth Federation.
The following presentation was completed by students of Belleville New Tech as part of a project on genocide. The presentation consisted of a Pebble poster board which required 11 boxes of pebbles; this equated to the approximate 1 million death toll of the Greek Genocide (1 pebble=1 person). Also included were 2 laptops, one of which hosted a timeline of events and the other a slideshow. The students also made 200 badges which were sold, the proceeds going to a Genocide awareness institution. The students referred to the Greek Genocide Resource Center website for their project.
